This position is based in Savannah, supporting Special Missions operations, and reports directly to the Savannah Completions Repair Station Chief Inspector. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
Hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145 and associated FAA guidance material, as well as a thorough understanding of 14 CFR Parts 43, 91, 121, and 135 as they apply to maintenance, inspection, alteration, and return-to-service activities performed under a certificated Repair Station.
Possess extensive knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements, interpretations, and administrative procedures, including the completion and processing of regulatory documentation such as:
FAA Form 337
FAA Form 8130-3
FAA Form 8110
Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs)
FAA Orders
Advisory Circulars (ACs)
Applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
Other associated airworthiness and certification documentation
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of aircraft inspection, conformity, certification, and return-to-service processes, with a working knowledge of multiple aircraft platforms and the technical data necessary to support regulatory compliance.
Possess a thorough understanding of Gulfstream quality policies, procedures, Repair Station requirements, and associated technical data utilized in the performance of maintenance and inspection activities.
Demonstrate proficiency in the software applications and business systems utilized throughout Gulfstream Aerospace to support quality, maintenance, compliance, and operational activities.
Possess the ability to effectively read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

- Ensure the Repair Station is in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and manufacturers recommendations. .
- Manage planning and development of quality standards, methods and procedures used by the Repair Station in complying with all applicable regulatory requirements, and ensure effective utilization of labor and materials.
- Maintain working relationships with local regulatory authorities, OEMs and vendors to ensure the Repair Stations continued growth and successful daily operation.
- Establish procedures for completing, maintaining and filing all inspection forms and documents used by the Repair Station.
- Establish training programs to continually upgrade employees technical capabilities and knowledge of governing procedures, regulations and requirements.
- Promote and foster departmental goals and objectives. Explain and reinforce the company values and goals to employees with an emphasis on safety.
- Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Assign tasks to subordinate employees to meet company and customer needs; hire qualified personnel as the need arises.
- Prepare departmental budgets and establish procedures and controls to ensure that expenditures are within the company guidelines.
- Coordinates projects and activities between Gulfstream facilities. .
- An Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is required. An A&P license and four (4) years of related quality experience (in addition to the experience requirements below) may offset the Bachelors degree.
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of FAR Part 145 and associated guidance materials, Part 43, Part 91, Part 121 and Part 135 as these parts apply to work accomplished under the Repair Station Certification.
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of interpretations, applications, and procedures for completing FAA paperwork including FARs, FAA Orders, Advisory Circulars, Form 337, Form 8130-3, Form 8110, STCs, and other pertinent paperwork.
- Advanced knowledge of inspection and certification processes, a general working knowledge of the various aircraft, and familiarity with pertinent FARs and technical reference materials.
- Thorough knowledge of quality policies, procedures and all related technical data.
- Ability to work within the various software applications utilized throughout the corporation.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
